About Wrapped OUSD
Wrapped OUSD (wOUSD) is an ERC-20 token that represents a wrapped version of Origin Dollar (OUSD), a yield-bearing stablecoin. While OUSD automatically increases in balance within a user's wallet through rebasing, wOUSD is designed for compatibility with decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols that do not support rebasing mechanisms. Instead of the balance increasing, the value of wOUSD appreciates relative to OUSD over time as yield is accrued, making it suitable for use in liquidity pools, lending markets, and other smart contracts.
