Wrapped POL (WPOL) is an ERC-20 compatible tokenized version of the native POL cryptocurrency (formerly MATIC). It allows the native asset to be used within decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, smart contracts, and across various blockchain networks beyond the Polygon PoS chain. As a wrapped asset, it maintains a 1:1 peg with the native POL token, facilitating liquidity and interoperability within ecosystems such as Polygon, Ethereum, and other EVM-compatible networks.
