About Canton Coin
Canton Coin (CC) is the native utility token of the Canton Network, a privacy-enabled, institutional-grade Layer 1 blockchain designed for real-world asset (RWA) tokenization and traditional finance (TradFi) interoperability. The token is used to pay for application and infrastructure fees on the network's Global Synchronizer, facilitate decentralized governance, and reward participants for real network usage. Designed to align the interests of application builders, users, and infrastructure operators, CC incentivizes stakeholders who create value through activity rather than speculation. Originally developed by Digital Asset, the network provides a shared infrastructure for secure synchronization and settlement across diverse asset classes while maintaining configurable privacy and control.
