About Threshold
Threshold (T) is the utility and governance token for the Threshold Network, a decentralized platform formed by the merger of the NuCypher and Keep networks. The token is primarily used for staking by node operators who secure the network and provide threshold cryptography services, such as proxy re-encryption and distributed key generation. In return for supporting these cryptographic primitives and applications, node operators earn fees. As a governance token, T allows holders to participate in the Threshold DAO, influencing the development and direction of the network's decentralized cryptography solutions.
