About Aave Token
Aave (AAVE) is a decentralized, non-custodial liquidity market protocol where users can participate as suppliers or borrowers. Suppliers provide liquidity to the market to earn passive income, while borrowers can access loans in an overcollateralized or undercollateralized (flash loan) fashion. AAVE serves as the native governance and utility token of the ecosystem, allowing holders to vote on Aave Improvement Proposals (AIPs) and stake their tokens in the Safety Module to secure the protocol in exchange for rewards. Originally launched as ETHLend in 2017, the protocol has evolved into a multi-chain lending infrastructure supporting various assets and decentralized stablecoin initiatives like GHO. The AAVE token is central to the protocol's decentralized governance and risk management framework.
