About USDS

USDS is the native decentralized stablecoin of the Sky ecosystem, serving as the upgraded successor to DAI. It is designed to maintain a soft peg to the U.S. Dollar through a reserve-backed model and collateralized debt positions. Users can mint USDS via Sky Vaults by depositing assets such as ETH, USDC, or tokenized real-world assets (RWAs). Within the ecosystem, USDS functions as a versatile tool for decentralized finance (DeFi), allowing for peer-to-peer lending and saving. It can be converted into sUSDS to earn protocol-generated rewards or used to acquire SKY governance tokens. The protocol aims to scale utility through 'Sky Stars'—semi-autonomous projects focusing on specialized areas like institutional credit and advanced lending.
