About KuCoin Token
KuCoin Token (KCS) is the native utility and governance token of the KuCoin exchange and the KuCoin Community Chain (KCC). Launched in 2017, it was originally issued as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum network before becoming the native gas token for KCC, a high-performance, EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain. KCS serves as a profit-sharing asset where holders receive a daily "KCS Bonus" derived from 50% of the exchange's trading fee revenue. The asset employs a deflationary mechanism through monthly buybacks and burns, with the goal of reducing the initial supply of 200 million tokens to a final cap of 100 million.
