About Bitget Token

Bitget Token (BGB) is the utility and ecosystem token for the Bitget exchange and Bitget Wallet. Launched in 2021, BGB provides users with various benefits including transaction fee discounts, access to Launchpool token mining, and involvement in platform incentives. Following a strategic partnership with the Morph chain, BGB has evolved to serve as the primary native token for the Morph blockchain, functioning as its gas, governance, and payment token. The token is transitioning from its original Ethereum ERC-20 deployment to the Morph Layer 2 network to support its expanded role as a decentralized governance and utility asset. In late 2024, it was announced that Bitget Wallet Token (BWB) would merge into BGB, further consolidating the ecosystem's value into a single token.
