About Fasttoken
Fasttoken (FTN) is the native cryptocurrency of Bahamut, a public, layer 1 EVM-compatible blockchain. It utilizes a unique Proof of Stake and Activity (PoSA) consensus mechanism, where block production chances are influenced by smart contract activity (gas usage). Originally launched as an ERC-20 token within the SoftConstruct and Fastex ecosystems, FTN migrated to become the native coin of Bahamut following its mainnet launch in May 2023. It serves as the primary utility token for transaction fees on the network and is widely used within gaming, decentralized applications, and various Web3 solutions including the ftNFT marketplace and Fastex exchange.
