About Locus Chain
LOCUS is the native utility and governance token of Locus Chain, a next-generation Layer 1 public blockchain protocol designed for high scalability and decentralization. The token serves as the primary payment method for the network economy, used for transaction fees, validator rewards, and participation in future governance. While Locus Chain utilizes a unique Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) structure called Account-Wise Transaction Chain (AWTC) and a BFT-based Proof of Stake consensus, the LOCUS token currently exists as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum network to facilitate atomic swaps to the mainnet.
