About Lisk
LSK is the native utility and governance token of Lisk, a Layer 2 blockchain built on the Optimism Superchain. Originally launched in 2016 as a Layer 1 platform using a Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism, Lisk has evolved into an Ethereum Layer 2 dedicated to bringing Web3 adoption to emerging markets. The LSK token is used for transaction fees, staking to secure the network through delegate voting, and participating in ecosystem governance.
