About Orchid
OXT is the native ERC-20 utility token of the Orchid Protocol, a decentralized peer-to-peer (P2P) bandwidth marketplace. The token is used by bandwidth providers to stake in order to compete for user payment flow, powering a stake-weighted selection algorithm that connects users to nodes. This mechanism ensures a decentralized network for proxy chains, providing users with enhanced privacy and resistance against censorship and monitoring. As a DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network) asset, OXT facilitates a marketplace where users pay directly for services without traditional subscriptions.
