About Polymath
POLY is the native utility token for the Polymath platform, an Ethereum-based protocol designed to facilitate the creation, issuance, and management of digital security tokens. Launched in 2018, the token fuels the Polymath Token Studio and is used by issuers to pay for services such as token creation, KYC/AML verification, and legal compliance. Polymath spearheaded the ERC-1400 standard to address regulatory requirements for security tokens. Note that Polymath has transitioned its focus toward Polymesh, an institutional-grade blockchain purpose-built for regulated assets, with POLY serving as the legacy utility token on Ethereum.
