About Secret
SCRT is the native utility and governance token of the Secret Network, a Layer 1 blockchain built on the Cosmos SDK that focuses on computational privacy. Unlike traditional blockchains where data is public by default, Secret Network enables "Secret Contracts" that perform computations over encrypted data, ensuring privacy for decentralized applications (Secret Apps). The SCRT token is used for transaction fees, staking to secure the network through its delegated Proof-of-Stake consensus, and participating in on-chain governance.
