About Nano
Nano (XNO) is a decentralized, low-latency, and feeless cryptocurrency designed for efficient peer-to-peer payments. It utilizes a unique block-lattice data structure where every account has its own blockchain, allowing for high transaction throughput and near-instant finality without the need for traditional mining. Nano achieves consensus through Open Representative Voting (ORV), a system where users delegate their voting weight to representatives who confirm transactions. Originally launched as RaiBlocks in 2014, the protocol is built on Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) technology to provide a scalable and energy-efficient alternative to traditional proof-of-work networks.
