About Horizen
ZEN is the native utility token of Horizen, a modular privacy-first platform that utilizes zero-knowledge proofs and Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs). Originally launched in 2017, the ecosystem has evolved into Horizen 2.0, a Layer 3 (L3) appchain deployed on Base. The ZEN token is used for DAO governance, accessing privacy services, and fueling interactions within zkApps. With its migration to the Base network, ZEN functions as an ERC-20 token, facilitating interoperability and liquidity within the broader Ethereum ecosystem.
