ZRX is the native governance and staking token of the 0x Protocol, an open-source decentralized exchange infrastructure designed to facilitate the peer-to-peer exchange of tokenized assets. The protocol enables the trustless exchange of Ethereum-based assets and other tokenized value, including cryptocurrencies, DeFi tokens, and NFTs, with aggregated multi-chain liquidity. ZRX token holders participate in protocol governance by voting on improvement proposals and earn staking rewards by providing liquidity to the ecosystem. Within the protocol, liquidity takers pay fees in ZRX to incentivize market makers (relayers). 0x serves as a global backbone for decentralized markets, powering a product suite that includes the 0x API and the Matcha DEX aggregator.
