About DYDX
DYDX is the native utility and governance token for the dYdX ecosystem, a decentralized trading platform specialized in perpetual contracts and professional-grade financial instruments. Originally an Ethereum-based protocol, dYdX transitioned to its own custom Layer-1 appchain built using the Cosmos SDK to provide high leverage, deep liquidity, and off-chain order books with on-chain settlement. The token is used for protocol governance, earning trading rewards, and securing the network. The platform supports a variety of advanced trading features including margin trading, spot trading, and lending, further enhanced by the dYdX Unlimited upgrade which introduced instant market listings and the MegaVault liquidity engine.
