About Status
Status Network Token (SNT) is a modular utility token that fuels the Status Network, an open-source ecosystem designed as a decentralized browser, private messenger, and gateway to the Ethereum network. As an ERC-20 token, SNT is used to access various features within the Status mobile operating system, including decentralized application (dApp) discovery, encrypted messaging, and governance. Holders can use SNT to participate in the network's decision-making process through voting power proportional to their holdings, as well as for spam filtering and accessing premium services within the Status app.
