About Wanchain
WAN is the native utility and governance token of Wanchain, a decentralized blockchain interoperability solution designed to connect different blockchain networks for the exchange of digital assets. Wanchain functions as a distributed financial infrastructure, utilizing Secure Multiparty Computation (sMPC) and Shamir’s Secret Sharing to secure cross-chain transactions through a "lock-mint-burn-unlock" mechanism. The asset is used for transaction fees, staking within the network's Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus, and participating in the ecosystem's governance. Originally launched as an ERC-20 token, WAN now operates on its own EVM-compatible Layer 1 mainnet, supporting smart contracts and privacy-protected transactions.
