About Chromia
Chromia (CHR) is the native utility and governance token of the Chromia platform, a modular relational blockchain designed to power scalable decentralized applications (dApps). Launched in 2019 by ChromaWay, the network functions as both a standalone Layer-1 blockchain and an EVM-compatible Layer-2 enhancement for Ethereum and BNB Chain. Its unique architecture combines the security of blockchain with the efficiency of a relational database using a custom programming language called Rell. The CHR token is used to pay for hosting fees, stake for network security, and facilitate transactions within the ecosystem, which supports diverse use cases including gaming, DeFi, and enterprise data management.
