LINEA is the native utility and governance token for Linea, an Ethereum-equivalent zkEVM Layer 2 scaling solution developed by Consensys. Designed to strengthen the Ethereum economy, the token is integral to a unique dual-token burn mechanism where transaction gas simultaneously burns both ETH and LINEA (in a 1:4 ratio) to reinforce Ethereum's monetary policy.
