Binance Alpha is the exchange's curated showcase for early-stage tokens, sitting between pure DEX trading and a full Binance spot listing. Tokens get visibility through the Binance app (the Alpha tab inside the wallet view), can be traded with reduced friction by Binance users, and often graduate to a full listing if they sustain activity.
The category overlaps heavily with BNB Chain ecosystem (most Alpha tokens deploy there first) but also includes tokens on Solana, Ethereum, and other L1s that Binance wants to surface. Examples include emerging memecoins, GameFi tokens, and DeFi primitives that haven't qualified for full listing yet.
When evaluating a Binance Alpha token, the relevant questions are how long it's been in Alpha (longer means weaker traction toward listing), what the on-chain liquidity looks like outside the Binance app surface, and whether the airdrop mechanics that drove initial volume are sustainable.
