About METIS
METIS is the native utility and governance token of the Metis ecosystem, a multi-network Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum. It serves as the primary asset for transaction fees (gas), staking to secure the decentralized sequencer network, and participating in ecosystem governance. The Metis architecture includes Andromeda, an optimistic rollup for general-purpose dApps, and Hyperion, an AI-optimized network designed for high-performance execution and on-chain Large Language Models (LLMs). The ecosystem is powered by the MetisSDK, which enables developers to build scalable, interoperable Web3 applications across DeFi, gaming, DePIN, and AI sectors.
