About Syscoin
Syscoin (SYS) is the native utility and gas token of the Syscoin network, a modular blockchain ecosystem founded in 2014. The asset powers a dual-chain Layer 1 architecture consisting of a Bitcoin-forked UTXO chain for security and a Network Enhanced Virtual Machine (NEVM) for Ethereum-compatible smart contracts. SYS is used for transaction fees, securing the network through a unique merged-mining consensus with Bitcoin, and supporting Layer 2 solutions like Rollux. Its tokenomics are inspired by Ethereum's EIP-1559, featuring protocol emissions and deflationary fee burning to manage supply.
